Tumbbad Re-Release Box Office Collection Day 2: Soham Shah starrer horror film Tumbbad, which was re-released at the box office, created a bigger storm at the box office on the second day as compared to the first day. On one hand, Tumbbad gave a tough competition to Kareena Kapoor’s new film Buckingham Murders.
On the other hand, the earnings on the second day were also interesting. The film is just a few steps away from achieving its budget collection for the second time as well. But the record-breaking earnings have surprised the fans.
Tumbbad Re-Release Box Office
If reports are to be believed, the supernatural drama Tumbbad, directed by Rahi Anil Bharve, has seen a 45 percent jump in earnings on the second day. It is being said that the film collected 2.20 crores on Saturday.
While this figure was 1.65 crores on the first day. After this, the collection of Tumbbad has reached 3.85 crores in two days. At the same time, it is expected that the film will achieve its budget of 5 crores in the first week.
Tumbbad Movie Review
It is worth noting that Tumbbad, released in the year 2018, had earlier earned a lifetime earning of 12 crores. While the film had achieved an opening of 50 lakhs. Tumbbad was critically successful, which received eight nominations at the 64th Filmfare Awards.
It received three awards for Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction and Best Sound Design. Apart from this, Tumbbad was the first Indian film to be shown in the Critics Week section at the 75th Venice International Film Festival. Apart from Soham Shah, Jyoti Malshe and Anita Date-Kelkar were seen in important roles in this film.
